Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in signing the Brighton defender Ben White this summer.

The Reds are looking to bring the player in as a replacement for Dejan Lovren but Frank Lampard’s side plan to hijack their move for the 22-year-old.

Liverpool are plotting a £20m bid for the defender in the coming days.

Ben White was on loan at Leeds United last season and he managed to impress a lot. He was one of Bielsa’s best players and it is no surprise that the top Premier League clubs are keen on him.

White is still quite young and he has a bright future ahead of him. A move to Chelsea or Liverpool could be the ideal step up for him.

Both clubs could help him develop and fulfil his potential as a player.

Apparently, Chelsea are looking to get rid of Antonio Rudiger this summer and they want White to replace the German.

It will be interesting to see if they can agree on a fee with Brighton in the coming weeks.

The Seagulls are not keen on selling the defender this summer and it could take a massive bid to change their stance.

Chelsea have been quite poor at the back this past season and they need to improve considerably. Spending big money on a talent like Ben White could be a good move for them.

They must look to move quickly for the player now if they want to beat the competition for his signature.
