Chelsea to battle Liverpool and Manchester United for the signature of Jude Bellingham next summer

Jude Bellingham-Borussia Dortmund

Chelsea will reportedly rival Manchester United and Liverpool in the transfer race to sign Jude Bellingham next summer as new owner Todd Boehly has identified the £100m-rated Borussia Dortmund star as a primary target ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

The Englishman has become one of the most in-demand midfielders in the world after his impressive displays in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool were thought to be the major suitors for the 19-year-old who in the past has talked about his admiration for club legend Steven Gerrard.

But according to reports by The Sun, Chelsea are plotting to battle the Reds and Manchester United for the midfielder.

According to the report, the new Blues owner Todd Boehly has identified Bellingham as one of his primary targets ahead of the 2023-2024 campaign.

The American investor and new head coach Graham Potter are looking to snap up some of the most talented youngsters in the world ahead of the 2023-2024 campaign and Bellingham fits the bill as the kind of player they want.

Boehly – who spent £271million on new signings this summer – is said to be a big fan of the England international.

But he will have to stump up the cash once more to land the player who is valued above £100m by Dortmund.

While his future continues to be a subject of speculation, Bellingham recently revealed he is not looking beyond this season.

Speaking before his side’s Champions League clash with Manchester City, Bellingham said,

“The club has done loads for me and made me feel very welcome since I first came and gave me the opportunities to develop even further.

“To look past that and into the future would be disrespectful.”

Bellingham’s market value is likely to skyrocket even more if he plays a starring role for England at the World Cup in Qatar this November.
