Leicester 1-3 Leeds United: Bamford, Harrison secure a morale boosting away win

Bamford-Leeds United

Patrick Bamford inspired Leeds United to a stunning 3-1 win over Leicester City in the Premier League earlier today.

The Leeds United striker scored a fantastic goal and set up two more to guide his side to an all important three points.

Leicester City made an impressive start to the game and they will be disappointed to have come away  empty handed.

Harvey Barnes gave them the lead on the 13th minute after an intelligent move involving James Maddison.

Leeds United got back into the game two minutes later when Stuart Dallas converted from a smart set up by Patrick Bamford.

Bamford then turned from provider to scorer when he found the top corner with a stunning effort 20 minutes from time to put his side ahead.

The Leeds United striker capped off an excellent night by setting up Jack Harrison on the 84th minute to wrap up the victory for Marcelo Bielsa’s team.

Bamford broke away and fed Harrison who rolled the ball into an empty net.

Leeds are now up to 11th in the Premier League table and the wind tonight will be a huge dent in Leicester City’s  title hopes.

It will be interesting to see how the Foxes bounce back from this in the coming weeks.

This was their 4th home defeat of the season and Leicester City are now five points adrift of League leaders Manchester City.
