The 2022 World Cup is all set to be held later this year in Qatar and the teams are waiting to find out their faith in the draw later tonight.

The World Cup final draw will be held this Friday on the 1st of April at the Doha exhibition and Convention Centre.

29 of the 32 teams have already confirmed their place in the tournament and the remaining teams will be decided through the playoffs.

The likes of Wales, Scotland, Ukraine, Peru, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Costa Rica and New Zealand will be vying for the final three spots in the intercontinental playoffs and the UEFA playoff.

Hosts Qatar have been placed in Pot 1 and they will be joined by the top seven ranked qualified teams from around the world. The 32 teams will be drawn into eight different groups containing four teams each. 

The tournament will begin on the 21st of November later this year and the finals are scheduled to take place on the 18th of December. 

Some of the notable omissions from this year’s World Cup are Italy, Russia, Colombia, Algeria, Egypt etc.
