Chelsea

Chelsea secured a thrilling 3-2 win against Leeds United in the Premier League last week, with Jorginho netting the decisive penalty in injury time.

The victory also ended their two-match winless streak and they would look to make up for their late struggles by beating Everton on Thursday night.

With Manchester City and Liverpool showing no signs of stopping down, Thomas Tuchel’s side have to be clinical in the upcoming games to reclaim the leader’s spot.

Romelu Luakaku, who was on target against Zenit in the Champions League, would look to make an impact against his former club on Thursday.

N’Golo Kante could return to the squad from injury but it remains to be seen whether he will make it to the starting eleven.

Possible Chelsea line-up

Edouard Mendy; Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen; Reece James, Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Marcos Alonso; Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic; Romelu Lukaku

Injured: Ben Chilwell, Mateo Kovacic

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Everton

Everton are on the downward spiral this season, managing only one win in their last 10 Premier League games.

Rafa Benitez is under immense pressure and he shouldn’t afford any more setbacks going forward.

The Toffees seemed to have got back on track after stunning Arsenal 2-1 at Goodison Park. It was only flattering to deceive as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace last week.

Richarlison picked up a calf injury against Palace and the Brazilian’s absence could prove to be a huge blow.

Nonetheless, The Toffees will look to rely on Demarai Gray and Salomon Rondon in the attack, with the former one netting two goals in the last three appearances.

French left-back Luca Digne remains doubtful for the clash owing to the reports of his fallout with Benitez.

Possible Everton line-up

Jordan Pickford; Seamus Coleman, Mason Holgate, Michael Keane, Ben Godfrey; Andros Townsend, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan, Anthony Gordon; Demarai Gray; Rondon

Injured: Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies, Yerry Mina

Doubtful: Lucas Digne

Suspended: None
