Leicester City

Leicester City bounced back from their loss to West Ham United by beating Norwich in their last game.

The Foxes have been tipped to mount a title challenge this season after they missed out late in the season in their last two seasons. They will hope to continue their return to winning ways when they welcome Pep Guardiola’s side to the King Power.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have a good record against Man City and are one of the only two sides since the 2020/21 season to score three or more goals in a match against City.

They had also won against City this season when they won the Community Shield after Kelechi Iheanacho scored for them in the last minutes.

They will be hoping for a repeat this time but will be missing many of the first-team players against defending champions.

Possible Leicester City line-ups

Kasper Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, Wilfred Ndidi, Caglar Soyuncu, Ryan Bertrand, Youri Tielemans, Boubakary Soumare, Dennis Praet, Ayoze Perez, Jamie Vardy, Harvey Barnes.

Manchester City

Manchester City have corrected their poor season-opening matches by winning two in a row. The host teams are fresh from a 5-0 mauling of Arsenal and are looking in their menacing best once again after scoring two goals in their last two games.

This match holds significance for them as they are looking to revenge their loss against their hosts in the Community Sheild earlier this season.

However, their form away from home is not very encouraging as they have lost all their last four games away from home.

Another loss here will be devastating for Guardiola, who will not want his team to be left far behind in the pursuit of the title early this season.

Possible Man City line-ups

Ederson Moraes, Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Jack Grealish, Gabriel Jesus, Ferran Torres, Raheem Sterling.

Probability

Leicester City win : Draw : Manchester City win :: 16% : 25% : 59%

Prediction

In recent times, Leicester City have become like a bogey team for City due to their many wins against their PL defending champions.

But with the addition of Grealish and the sparkling form of Gabriel Jesus, the Cityzens look the most probable to take a win here.

Leicester City 1-2 Manchester City
