The Red Devils have had a disappointing campaign so far and they are likely to miss out on Champions League qualification unless there is a dramatic revival in the remainder of the season.

The report from the mirror also claims that Manchester United will look to clear out the deadwood during the summer transfer window and as many as 12 players could be sold this summer.

The report claims that the likes of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Edison Cavani, Juan Mata, Lee grant, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford could all leave the club and make way for new signings.

The Dutchman has done a splendid job in rebuilding Ajax and it will be interesting to see if he can succeed at Old Trafford now.

There is no doubt that Manchester United have some quality players at their disposal and they have a talented youth team as well.

With the correct signings. Ten Hag should be able to revitalise the squad and help them challenge for the major trophies once again.
