Carlo Ancelotti is looking for a reunion with the Colombian midfielder.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is likely to reunite with James Rodriguez like at Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
According to reports, Everton are closing in on a transfer move for the Colombian midfielder, whose contract will be expiring in 2021.
It is also understood that talks between both the parties are going well and a summer move is a highly possible one.
James has previously stated his desire to leave the Los Blancos to find regular game time while adding that the Spanish Capital club passed up the chance to let him go.
The 29-year-old doesn’t have the best of the relationships with Zinedine Zidane, who had played him down over the course.
James had also singled out the fact that it would be difficult to find regular game time under the French gaffer.
Ancelotti also spoke about the Toffees’ interest in the Los Blancos star.
James Rodriguez? I like, I like a lot as a player,” said Ancelotti.
“When I left Madrid, James Rodriguez followed me to Munich. He came to play.
“But he followed me as a rumour to Napoli, and now he is following me here to Everton as a rumour.
“I have to be honest, I like him a lot. But he is a Real Madrid player. I think he will still be a Real Madrid player.”
Atletico Madrid are also said to be one of the potential suitors for James while Wolves had registered their interest months ago.
