Manchester United agree deal to sign South American goal machine

Edison Cavani, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are eyring PSG star to sign

Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Edinson Cavani on a free transfer.

The Uruguayan striker’s contract with PSG expired early on in the summer and the 33 year old is heading to Old Trafford on a short term deal.

Edinson Cavani is a world class striker and he should prove to be a quality addition for the Red Devils this season.

He has proven himself in France and Italy and he’s likely to share the gold scoring burden alongside Martial and Rashford.

There is no doubt that Manchester United needed to add more goals to the team and given his experience and leadership, Cavani would improve them immensely.

The 33-year-old striker is a smart investment, especially on a free transfer. His signing will allow United to improve their attack without spending too much money.

The Premier League side have already signed Alex Telles from Porto and they have agreed on a deal to sign Amad Traore from Atlanta. However, the young winger will join the Premier League club in January.

Manchester United have been linked with several attackers this summer and it will be interesting to see if they can wrap up their transfer window by signing a winger now.

They need to add more pace and flair to their attack and the likes of Dan James are simply not good enough.
