Former Manchester United star Paul Ince urged the club to sell Paul Pogba unless the French star commits to a long-term future with United.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for a while now.

The French international will be a free agent next summer, and the Red Devils are yet to agree on a contract extension with him.

The Premier League side cannot afford to lose him on a free transfer next year, and they will be under pressure to cash in on him in the coming weeks if the player refuses to sign a new deal.

Former Manchester United star Paul Ince has now urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to sell the midfielder this summer unless he signs a five-year contract with the Red Devils.

He said: “Paul Pogba hasn’t signed a new Manchester United contract, and we don’t know what’s in his mind.

“If he decides to stay, they should offer him five years. You can’t have annual disharmony with a player saying he wants to leave.

“If you’re staying, stay and commit, show what a world-class player you are. If not, leave and let United use the money to bring in others.

“We’ve seen glimpses of Pogba’s true talent for France and Manchester United occasionally. He performed very well at the Euros, but if you compare the French team with United’s, he’s playing with better players there.

“He came to United for big money, to be a talisman, but it just hasn’t worked out. If he gets back to his best, and United can put a couple of players with him, like Bruno Fernandes, I’d like to keep him.

“When Pogba plays for France, he’s in a holding position with N’Golo Kante. He gets more of the ball and changes games. We don’t always see that at United.”

Ince is reportedly frustrated with the speculations surrounding the future of the 28-year-old, and he wants a permanent resolution soon.

The midfielder’s agent claimed earlier this year that the 28-year-old’s time at Old Trafford is up, and he will be looking to move on in the summer. He has been linked with Real Madrid and PSG recently.

Ince is desperate to avoid such drama in future, and therefore he wants a long term deal for the French international.

It will be interesting to see if Pogba can make up his mind soon and sort out his future before pre-season begins.

The midfielder was away on international duty with France. Still, his country have now been eliminated from the European Championships, and the Manchester United star will be expected to make a decision soon.
