Four managers who could replace Steve Bruce at Newcastle

Newcastle 0-0 Brighton Brighton ensured top-flight survival

Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has been heavily criticised for his side’s performances this season.

The magpies are currently 19th in the league table having failed to pick up a single win in seven outings.

Newcastle have three points under the belt so far and they will be expected the fight for survival in the Premier League this season.

Steve Bruce has had a difficult relationship with the Newcastle fans ever since his appointment and the situation has only gotten worse after the poor start to the Premier League campaign.

Here at Anytime football, we look at the four potential replacements for the Newcastle manager.

Eddie Howe

The former Bournemouth manager did an exceptional job at the South Coast club but he’s a free agent right now and he could prove to be a quality appointment for the magpies.

The 43-year-old manager helped take Bournemouth from League One to the premiership and Eddie Howe‘s attacking style of football could be a hit with the Newcastle fans.

Frank Lampard

The former England international is currently out of a job after being sacked by Chelsea 18 months into his dream job.

However, Frank Lampard did well to nurture the young talents at the club during his managerial spell at Stamford Bridge and the Blues played some free-flowing attacking football under his management as well.

Chris Wilder

The former Sheffield United manager did a remarkable job with the Blades after getting them promoted to the Premier League.

Sheffield United finished ninth in their first season back (2019/20) in the top flight and they narrowly missed out on Europa League football.

Chris Wilder could prove to be a quality alternative for Steve Bruce.

Graham Potter

The Brighton and Hove Albion manager has done an excellent job with the Seagulls and Brighton are currently 6th in the Premier League table.

Graham Potter is regarded as one of the finest young English managers in the game right now and he would be an ambitious appointment for the magpies.
