Tottenham keen on signing Southampton's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Tottenham are keen on signing the Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer.

Jose Mourinho is keen on improving his midfield options and the Danish international would be a quality addition.

He has one year left on his deal with the Saints and he is keen to move on to a bigger club. A move to Spurs would allow him to play in Europe and he could also work with a top class manager like Jose Mourinho.

As per reports, Tottenham are now edging closer to signing the 24-year-old midfielder. They have already submitted a £15m bid for him.

Although the Saints want around £25m for the player, an agreement could be reached between the two clubs.

Southampton are in talks to sign the Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters and it will be interesting to see if the two clubs can come to some sort of agreement that benefits them both.

Hojbjerg is an experienced Premier League player who will improve Tottenham immediately. For the reported price, he could prove to be a major bargain.

He will add composure and defensive cover to their midfield and allow them to dominate possession. It will be interesting to see if Mourinho uses him as a partner for Ndombele next season. The two could form a lethal partnership in theory.

Everton are keen on signing Hojbjerg as well and they had a bid accepted for him as well. However, the player is not keen on a move to Goodison Park and he prefers to join Tottenham instead.
