Harry Kane slammed for Spurs’ inconsistency

Tottenham Hotspur’s fluctuating form continued with a disappointing defeat to West Ham at London Stadium on Sunday.

Spurs, who had won back to back games in the Premier League to regain the momentum, fell short against strong-looking David Moyes’ side.

Harry Kane, who ended his goal drought against Newcastle United, was expected to have a good game but he failed to find any kind of inspiration.

According to a pundit from Football Insider, the Three Lions skipper would be highly responsible should Spurs fail to finish in the top four.

He also claimed that Kane’s struggles are reflecting on the North Londoners’ inconsistent form this season.

The pundit said (h/t Team Talk): “Kane is still struggling. “I get that he’s scoring goals in the other competitions but what is the point in judging him on that? Are Tottenham going to win the Carabao Cup? No. Are they going to win the Conference League? Not the way they are going right now.

“They are suffering in the Premier League because their star man isn’t performing. Yes, he scored against Newcastle. Most people could have scored against Newcastle last week.”

If they do that this season and he gets 10, for example, it is his fault. He needs to turn his form around. Off the ball, he’s been offering very little other than in that Newcastle game.

“I really don’t think that his heart is in playing for Tottenham.”

Spurs keen on Barca winger Ousmane Dembele

Spurs are one of the Premier League clubs reportedly interested in signing Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele, with sporting director Fabio Paratici also keen on the deal, according to 90 min.

The Frenchman has struggled to live up to his potential due to a lengthy injury record following his big-money move from Dortmund to Nou Camp.

Dembele’s contract expires next summer and he is said to be demanding a pay rise in his new deal, which the Catalan club see as unaffordable.

It could allow the 24-year-old to leave for free in the summer of 2022 and a few top clubs are keeping tabs on his situation.

Spurs’ fans are excited to hear the transfer rumours about Dembele as they believe that the French man could be a top buy.
