Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a major boost ahead of their season opener against Manchester City on Sunday.

Apparently, star striker Harry Kane will be available to face the Premier League champions.

The striker is currently quarantined, and he will train alone until Thursday.

Initially, it was expected that Kane would miss the match against Manchester City after joining up late to pre-season training.

Asked about Kane’s availability for the match, Nuno said: “All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us, then it’s up to us to decide.”

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the London club, and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League side can convince him to stay beyond this summer.

There were reports that the player would not train or play for Tottenham again, but it seems that the striker has joined up with his teammates for pre-season.

Recently, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed his interest in signing the England striker, but Tottenham seem adamant that the player will not be sold.

Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that he will speak to the player regarding the speculations surrounding his future, and the club are hoping to resolve the situation.

“First of all, we have to speak,” Nuno said. “This is going to happen today, and after that, we hope to solve all the situations.

“It’s not about that (Kane’s late return). It’s about what we have to do to solve the situation – this is important.

“We have to solve it together. Everybody involved has to solve it together – speaking, having a nice conversation and putting our opinions, but everybody together.”
