Harry Kane’s impressive England form could be welcome news for Conte

Harry Kane-England

The Spurs striker has enjoyed a stellar international break with Three Lions.

Harry Kane left behind his Spurs’ troubles and stood up for England in the World Cup Qualifiers.

The 28-year-old netted a hat-trick against Albania before scoring four goals in the emphatic 10-0 win over San Marino last night.

In addition, Kane also achieved the record of scoring the most number of goals(16) in a calendar year for the Three Lions, surpassing Dixie Dean, who had scored 12 goals in 1927.

Prior to the international break, Kane received a lot of stick for his uncharacteristic struggles with Spurs, scoring only one goal in 10 Premier League games this season.

Despite coming off a stellar 20/21 season in which he topped the scoring charts, Kane struggled to fit in at Nuno Santo’s set-up.

However, Antonio Conte’s arrival as Spurs’ new manager brought a big smile to the English striker’s face and he also expressed his excitement to work with the Italian gaffer.

Surprisingly, Conte’s first game in the Premier League this season against Everton ended in a goalless draw while Kane also failed to make any difference.

Now, the Italian would be feeling happy to see Kane returning to his best during the international break.

The English striker must have also found himself some breathing space and would look to translate his stellar form to the North Londoners.

Conte played a key part in Romelu Lukaku’s resurgence at Inter Milan and he would also look to elevate Kane to newer heights.

The North Londoners will host Leeds United in the Premier League this weekend.
