Liverpool are looking to sign the Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus this summer.

According to reports from Germany, the 24-year-old midfielder has attracted the attention of the Premier League club with his performances this past season, and the Reds could make a move for him once the European Championships are over.

The Reds have made contact with the player’s representatives as well.

Neuhaus has been outstanding for Gladbach, and he chipped in with eight goals and eight assists this past season.

The German could be the ideal addition to the Liverpool midfield alongside Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho. Liverpool are missing a goal scorer in their midfield, and Neuhaus could complete their midfield three next season.

His skillset would complement the likes of Thiago and Fabinho perfectly.

The player has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent months as well, and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool can fend off the competition and secure his services in the coming months.

According to reports, the midfielder is likely to cost more than €40 million, and it remains to be seen whether the Reds are willing to splash out that kind of money for him.

Jurgen Klopp needs to strengthen his midfield after the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum, and the 24-year-old German seems like a good fit.

Although he’s a different player compared to Wijnaldum, he offers the qualities Liverpool need in their midfield right now.

It will be interesting to see where the 24-year-old ends up eventually.
