Kylian Mbappe turns down latest PSG offer, Richarlison lined up as replacement

Kylian Mbappe-PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have suffered another blow in their efforts to keep Kylian Mbappe at the club.

According to reports, the World Cup winner has turned down the Ligue 1 club’s latest contract offer and he wants to move on this summer.

Apparently, Paris Saint Germain offered him a five-year contract with an optional additional year.

Mbappe has been linked with a move away from the French club for months now and Real Madrid have been mentioned as a potential destination.

The news of Mbappe turning down a new deal with the French outfit will come as a major boost for the La Liga club and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with a concrete offer in the closing stages of the transfer window.

The report further states that Paris Saint Germain are now slowly coming to terms with the fact that Mbappe could be sold at they have already looked at potential replacements.

Apparently, Everton forward Richarlison is a target for the French club to replace the World Cup winner should he move on this summer.

The Brazilian forward has done an outstanding job with the Toffees since joining them from Watford but he is nowhere near good enough to replace a player of Mbappe’s calibre.

The report adds that Richarlison has been recommended to PSG as Mbappe’s replacement by his compatriot Neymar and the French outfit have already reached out to the Everton player’s representatives in anticipation of a move.

The Frenchman’s departure will certainly weaken Paris Saint Germain in the attack.

That said, Mbappe will be a free agent next summer and it would be a devastating blow if PSG lost someone like him on a free transfer.

Financially it makes sense for the French outfit to cash in on the player this summer and reinvest the money into the playing squad.
