Erik Ten Hag pursuit

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a move for the Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag as a long term replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Initially, the Londoners were linked with a move for Julian Nagelsmann from RB Leipzig, but the German manager has now joined Bayern Munich on a long term contract.

Erik Ten Hag has done an excellent job at Ajax, and he should prove to be a quality appointment for the Premier League side as well.

Furthermore, the Dutch manager is likely to be an inexpensive appointment for the Premier League side.

He will have just one year remaining on his Ajax contract at the end of the season, and therefore the compensation fee should be quite reasonable.

The Dutchman will add a free-flowing style of football to the Spurs side, and he is very good at nurturing young talents. With the right support in the transfer market, he could help the Londoners challenge for trophies next season.

Allegri remains an option

According to reports, former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is an option for the Premier League side as well.

Apparently, Tottenham like him, and the fact that he is a free agent makes him an attractive proposition for the Premier League side.

Allegri has won several trophies with Juventus, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to appoint him as the next manager.

The Londoners are desperate to end their trophy drought, and someone like Allegri would be a proven appointment for them.

However, reports add that there are doubts over Allegri’s English speaking ability, although he fits the profile of the manager the club is looking for.
