Tottenham in talks with Wolves to sign Adama Traore

Man United eyeing Adama Traore transfer, amid interest from City, Liverpool

Nuno Santo is desperate to reunite with Traore at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to make their move for Wolves winger Adama Traore.

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are in direct talks with Wolverhampton over a summer move for Traore.

The North Londoners are now preparing their first bid, with Wolves ready to cash in on the Spaniard.

Nuno Santo is key behind Spurs’ pursuit as the new manager wants to reunite with his former protege Traore.

Traore burst onto the scene as one of the Premier League’s explosive wingers under Santo at Wolves. However, the Spaniard’s form suffered a significant dip last season, and he has been continuously linked with an exit throughout this transfer window.

The Portuguese manager has had to play without Harry Kane in their first two games in the Premier League amid the English striker’s uncertain future at Spurs.

Santo relied on the counterattack strategy with the help of speedy wingers, which proved productive as Spurs ended up victorious in both games.

Traore is known for his physicality and pace, and he can add more value to the North Londoners’ attack. Furthermore, if they manage to sign him, it could leave Kane’s future wide open as the Three Lions skipper only appeared as a substitute against Wolves in the weekend. Should Kane end up staying, then Spurs will boast one of the best-attacking units in the league.

Liverpool and Leeds United have shown interest in Traore in the transfer window but are likely to pull out of the race due to Wolves’ 40m pounds valuation.

Even without Kane, Spurs are showing better results as the current crop of attackers fit Santo’s style of play.
