In recent months, Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has been linked with several clubs. It remains to be seen whether the 29-year-old can secure a move away from Old Trafford before the January transfer window closes.

The player is thought to be a target for Newcastle UnitedLeicester City, Everton and Aston Villa.

The magpies were keen on signing the player on a loan deal, but the Red Devils are looking for a permanent move.

The 29-year-old is unhappy with the way Manchester United have handled Newcastle’s interest in him, and the player’s camp are infuriated by the club’s behaviour.

Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has already informed the player that he is not in his plans for the remainder of the season. He is also given the forward his approval to leave before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Manchester Evening News are reporting that the player is keen on a move to London with the likes of Tottenham and West Ham on the horizon. Still, Manchester United have rebuffed both inquiries because they do not want to strengthen a direct top-four rival.

It will be interesting to see if the likes of Newcastle, Leicester, Villa or Everton can provide him with an exit route over the next few days.

The 29-year-old needs to play regularly to regain his confidence and sharpness.

Furthermore, Lingard needs to play regularly to cement his place in the England World Cup squad and leaving Manchester United in January should be a top priority for the player.
