Man City identify 33-year-old as Guardiola’s potential replacement

Manchester City and United have decided - not to furlough staff

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is yet to sign a new contract with the club and it will be interesting to see if the Spaniard decides to commit his long-term future to the Premier League side.

The Manchester City boss is out of  contract soon and he has not decided whether he wants to continue managing in England beyond next summer.

According to reports, Guardiola has full autonomy over the decision regarding his future but Manchester City are ready to plan ahead and they are looking at the 33 year old RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann as Guardiola’s replacement.

The German manager is one of the best young managers in world football and he has a big future ahead of him.

There is no doubt that he has the talent to develop into a world class coach and Manchester City’s interest in him is hardly surprising.

Several other European clubs are looking at Julian Nagelsmann as well and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Manchester City have been linked with the former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino as well.

The Argentine has been out of a job for a while now and he has been linked with a return to the Premier League over the last few months.

Pochettino has been linked with both the Manchester clubs in the recent months and he could prove to be a decent addition.

If Pep Guardiola decides to leave at the end of this season he will have spent five successful years in the Premier League and he will certainly go down as one of English football’s best managers.

However the Spaniard will be desperate to win the Champions League with Manchester City before calling it quits.
