Leicester City

After their Thursday Europa Conference League exertions, Leicester City are back in the league this Sunday, looking to get the maximum points that will keep their quest for a top-seven finish alive.

The Foxes kept their chances of winning the inaugural Conference League alive as they were held to a goalless draw with Dutch side PSV last Thursday.

The result followed a disappointing 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the PL last weekend – a game that manager Brendan Rodgers believes his side should have won after they controlled much of the game.

But with that now in the past, they go into this game looking to get maximum points. The hosts are level on points with their visitors and can climb into the ninth position with a win here.

They are also targeting a top-seven finish but are already 14 points behind seventh-placed Manchester United who have played two games more.

And so with ten games still to play this season, Rodger’s side will believe that with more consistency, they can mount a late push for a top-seven finish. With that in mind, his side will come into this side desperate for a win, knowing that anything short of a win will completely kill their fading top-seven dreams.

Possible Leicester City starting line-up

Kasper Schmeichel; Ricardo, Wesley Fofana, Johnny Evans, James Justin; Youri Tielemans, James Maddison, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall; Harvey Barnes, Patson Daka, Kelechi Iheanacho.

Injured: Wilfred Ndidi, Ryan Bertrand, Danny Ward, Jamie Vardy

Doubtful: Ayoze Perez, Boukare Soumare

Suspended: None

Crystal Palace

Patrick Vieira solidified his claim as a bona fide Arsenal legend last weekend when he led his Crystal Palace side to a 3-0 win over his former side.

The win extended the Eagles’ unbeaten run to seven games and kept their late push for a top-half finish alive.

They come into this tie sitting a place above the Foxes and could end the weekend still in the top nine if they win this game.

With four wins from their last five games, the visitors will fancy their chances of getting a fair result from this game. Meanwhile, their defence, which has kept four clean sheets in their last four games, will also be confident of getting a clean sheet against a Leicester City side that scored just 24 goals this season.

Possible Crystal Palace starting line-up

Vicente Guaita; Joel Ward, Andersen, Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell; Will Hughes, Connor Gallagher, Jeffrey Schlupp; Eberechi Eze, Philipe-Jean Meteta, Wilfried Zaha.

Injured: None

Doubtful: Nathan Ferguson, Michael Olise

Suspended: None
