Leicester City crashed to a 3-0 defeat at home to West Ham United in the Premier League earlier today at King Power Stadium.
Michail Antonio handed West Ham United a well deserved lead on the 14th minute and Pablo fornals doubled the London side’s advantage on the 34th minute. Jarrod Bowen added a third for the away side on the 83rd minute.
Leicester City managed to beat Manchester City 5-2 in their last game and they were expected to perform a lot better here.
Brendan Rodgers will be thoroughly disappointed with his team’s performance and it will be interesting to see if Leicester can bounce back with a strong performance in their next game.
The Foxes will be expected to challenge for a Champions League spot this year but they cannot hope to do so with performances like these.
West Ham are a good team but Leicester should be beating them, especially at home.
The Hammers will be full of confidence after a performance like this and David Moyes will be hoping to build on this and put together a winning run now.
It will be interesting to see if West Ham can bring in a quality defender before the transfer window closes. The London club have been trying to improve their defensive options all summer and if they can sign a quality player now it would boost their morale even further for the rest of the season.
