Liverpool transfer update: €60m Serie A striker eyed, Reds to fight for Juventus ace

Paulo Dybala-Juventus

Zapata on the radar of Liverpool

Liverpool have been reportedly monitoring Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata and are ready to make a move this summer to reinforce their attack.

The Reds have received a lot of stick for their defensive fallacies this season however their attack hasn’t been at the best either.

Mohamed Salah appears to be the only saving grace whilst the performances of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have dropped.

Zapata has been performing at the highest level for the past few seasons and his tally turns out to be nine goals and five assists in Serie A this term. However, the Colombian would cost the Reds around €60m.

Reds to fight for Dybala amid uncertain future at Juventus

Juventus star Paulo Dybala‘s future is up in the air following sporting director Fabio Paratici’s concerns over his injury woes.

The defending Serie A champions are said to be working on the new contract for the Argentine striker but haven’t found a final agreement yet.

Liverpool are reportedly wanting to fight for the 27-year-old, who is also subject to transfer interests from Tottenham and Manchester United.

Dybala’s importance has withered since the departure of former manager Maurizio Sarri as he is currently down the pecking order of Andrea Pirlo.

Paratici said,

“Paulo still has a few problems – it’s like he’s on a swing.

“Some days he’s better and others he’s worse. He seemed okay [last week], then he felt some pain again.

“We have spoken [about this contract], we have been speaking and will continue to speak in the next few days and months.”
