The English defender says that Ronaldo has changed the mentality of the dressing room.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has heaped praises on Cristiano Ronaldo for bringing a winning mentality to the dressing room.

The Portuguese ace made a sensational return to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window and also exceeded the expectations by hitting the ground running in Premier League.

Ronaldo has managed 5 goals in 6 games for the Red Devils, which also includes the stoppage-time winner against Villarreal in the Champions League.

Shaw has said that the 36-year-old’s return has made a big impact in the United dressing room.

Shaw said (h/t Mirror): “You see the way he conducts himself, how professional he is. It’s clear to me why he has been at the top for so many years.

“His mentality is second to none. I think he has really improved that in and around the changing room.”

Although Ronaldo has settled perfectly in his second spell at Old Trafford, there are concerns over Man Utd’s fluctuating form.

United have suffered defeats against Young Boys, Aston Villa and West Ham (EFL Cup) this season, and their game against Everton last week also ended in a draw.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been getting stick for his tactics and the failure to deliver results despite having a star-studded squad at his disposal.

The Norwegian manager has failed to win a single trophy for United since taking charge in 2018.

United are currently fourth in the league table with 14 points and will face Leicester City after the international break.
