Man United Roundup: Latest on Trippier links; Pogba, Jones, Solskjaer’s future

Ole Gunnar Solskjær-Manchester United

Paul Pogba

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away from the club.

Recently the midfielder’s agent claimed that his time at Manchester United is over and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League side decide to cash in on the French international at the end of this season.

Manchester United paid £89 million for the World Cup winner 4 years ago but they are ready to cut their losses on him and sell him for just £50 million.

Pogba will be in the final year of his contract next summer and it would be wise of Manchester United to sell him next summer instead of losing him on a free transfer in 2022.

Kieran Trippier

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier.

The former Tottenham defender has done well in Spain and the Premier League side are looking to bring him back to England.

Trippier is in the final 18 months of his contract and he could be signed for a reasonable fee in January.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United have Aaron Wan-Bissaka as their first-choice right-back but the young defender has been quite error-prone this season and he could use some competition for the starting berth.

Phil Jones

Meanwhile, Manchester United defender Phil Jones has been linked with a move away from the club.

The defender has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and he’s no longer a regular starter for them.

It would be wise of Manchester United to cash in on him and get his wages off their books when the transfer window reopens in January.

Jones needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and a move away from Manchester United would be ideal for him as well.

According to reports, Newcastle are interested in signing the defender on loan and it will be interesting to see if they can convince Manchester United to accept the offer next month.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League earlier this week and it seems that the players are gradually losing faith in manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Apparently, some of the players believe that the manager is to blame for the team’s poor form right now and it will be interesting to see if the former Manchester United striker can hold on to his job beyond this season.
