Sterling has been in sublime form for England in Euro 2020.

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been garnering praises for his fine form so far in Euro 2020.

The 26-year-old has been instrumental in England progressing to the quarter-finals, mustering three goals in four games, including the strike in the epic win against Germany in the round of 16.

According to a report, Sterling’s sublime form has led to Manchester City thinking about a new long-term contract, with his current deal expiring in 2023.

It has been reported recently that City are open to selling players like Sterling and Mahrez and even as makeweights for striker target Harry Kane.

Sterling has been one of the top performers for Citizens since joining them in 2015.

However, his performance saw a significant last season, and he also failed to be a starter for Pep Guardiola’s side.

The former Liverpool star was also scrutinized for his poor display in the UEFA Champions League final, where Man City lost to Chelsea.

However, Sterling managed to leave his struggles behind and became an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s side in the ongoing European Championship.

Out of four goals, England have scored this campaign; Sterling has three to his name while the other being Harry Kane, who found the nets against Germany.

The Sky Blues’ star’s imperious form has also led to Rio Ferdinand calling him a national hero.

Sterling’s rich vein of form would be good news for Guardiola ahead of next season. The Spanish manager would likely consider the return of the Three Lions star to the starting line-up.

England will play Ukraine in the quarter-finals this weekend at Stadio Olimpico.
