Manchester City starts the pre-season with a massive offer for midfield duo Phil Foden and Rodri. The two-star players are expected to renew their contracts with huge salary hikes.
Phil Foden‘s contract agreement will see him triple his current wages of a £65k-a-week deal. A new deal worth £200k-a-week made him one of the highest-earning players at the club.
While Rodri, who arrived at the club for £62.5million from Atletico Madrid in 2019, is also expecting a hike from his current earnings of £125,000 a week, according to Daily Mail.
It looks like Manchester city knows how to take care of their players aside from strengthening their careers. Some players said it is the money that they are after. However, if the player is doing his best within the club, money and contract extension seem to be the perfect ways of showing appreciation.
Phil Foden was named in the UEFA Champions League Squad of the season and won Premier League Young Player of the Season while being nominated for both the PFA Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year, winning the latter award.
