Raheem Sterling future

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth at the club this season owing to the exceptional form of Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez.

Both players have been in scintillating form this season, and Guardiola has himself admitted that it has been difficult to accommodate Sterling in the starting lineup regularly. The 26-year-old has started 24 Premier League games out of 33 so far this season.

The former Liverpool winger was expected to sign a new contract with Manchester City earlier this season, and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League giants are willing to tie him down to a new long term deal.

However, the England international will be hoping to play regularly, and if Manchester City cannot provide him with that platform, he might start angling for a move.

Sterling is one of the best wingers in the Premier League went on form, and City will not want to lose him anytime soon.

Aguero alternatives

Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero has already confirmed that he will be on his way out of Manchester City at the end of the season. The Argentine is one of the most prolific goal scorers in Premier League history, and it will be interesting to see how Manchester City replace him in the summer.

Manchester City do not have a reliable goalscorer at their disposal, and signing a top-quality replacement for Aguero should be a top priority for them.Manchester City have been linked with the likes of Erling Haaland in recent months, but the transfer seems unlikely because of the financial crisis due to the pandemic. Haaland will cost way too much this summer.

The Premier League giants should look to invest in cheaper alternatives, and the likes of Andre Silva could prove to be a quality signing.

The Portuguese international has been in outstanding form for Eintracht Frankfurt, and he has a relatively low release clause as well.

Another option for Manchester City could be the Torino striker Andrea Belotti who has been linked with a move to the Premier League at the end of the season.

The Italian has proven himself in Serie A over the years, and he has the quality to succeed at Manchester City.
