Manchester City

Manchester City can wrap up their fourth Premier League title in five seasons when they take on Aston Villa this Sunday.

The Cityzens could have effectively ended the title race in their last outing when they visited London to play West Ham. But they fell two goals behind in the first half thanks to a Jarrod Bowen double.

However, a second-half blitz saw them come back to draw 2-2 and ensure that the title destiny remains in their hands. But they must win this game to ensure that they win the title, as anything short of a win could allow Liverpool to pip them to the title.

Given that they have won 14 of their 18 league games at the Etihad this season, they will be confident of securing a win here. Their record against Villa will also be a confidence booster for them, given that they have won their last eleven games against Steven Gerrard’s side at the Etihad.

Possible Manchester City starting line-up

Ederson Moraes, Joao Cancelo, Fernandinho, Aymeric Laporte, Oleksandr Zinchenko; Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, Bernardo Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling.

Injured: Ruben Dias

Doubtful: John Stones, Kyle Walker

Suspended: None

Aston Villa

Steven Gerrard and his Aston Villa side will look to help Liverpool win the title by taking points off Manchester City when they travel to the North East.

The visitors can affect the title race if they can draw or win this game. But with two draws and one loss in their last three games, they might find it hard to take points off City.

However, Gerrard’s men come into this tie with just one loss from their last six games. And so they will be confident of causing an upset and helping them to finish the season on a high note.

Currently sitting in 14th place, they can move into the top ten if they win by a good margin and other results go their way.

Possible Aston Villa starting line-up

Emi Martinez; Matty Cash, Callum Chambers, Tyrone Mings, Lucas Digne; John McGinn, David Luiz, Jacob Ramsey; Emi Buendia, Danny Ings, Ollie Watkins.

Injured: Ezri Konsa, Leon Bailey, Kortney Hause

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
