Erik Ten Hag making Manchester United transfer plans

Manchester United have been linked with a number of managers in recent weeks including the Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag.

According to the mirror, the Dutchman has already lined up his first two signings if he takes over at Old Trafford.

The 52-year-old has apparently had a formal interview with the Premier League giants regarding a move in the summer. Ten Hag has done an outstanding job at Ajax so far this season and he is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford.

The report further adds that the two players the manager has identified for Manchester United are Antony and Jurrien Timber.

The Brazilian winger has been outstanding for Ajax this season and he has scored 12 goals for the side.

Meanwhile, Timber is highly rated in the Netherlands and the 20-year-old is expected to develop into a top-class defender in the future.

It is no secret that Manchester United will have to improve their defensive options and the attacking unit this summer and the likes of Antony and Timber could prove to be quality long term acquisitions for them.

Erik Ten Hag has a £2m release clause

It remains to be seen whether the Premier League giants can bring Erik Ten Hag to Trafford in the coming months now.

A report from the Telegraph claims that the Premier League giants would have to pay around £2 million in compensation if they decide to make him their next manager.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino as well.

The Argentine did an exceptional job in the Premier League during his time with Tottenham and he could prove to be a quality option for the Red Devils as well.
