The Red Devils are considering a summer move for the sought-after French midfielder.

Manchester United have set their sights on signing Rennes teenager Eduardo Camavinga.

According to a report, the Red Devils will move for the highly-rated French midfielder after completing the deal for top-target Jadon Sancho.

Man Utd are said to be closing in on Sancho’s transfer after agreeing to a 77m pounds fee with Borussia Dortmund.

Camavinga has been impressive for Rennes over the last two seasons and considered as one of the brightest young talents in Europe. He was instrumental in Rennes securing a top-four finish in Ligue 1 last season, thus earning a place in the Champions League for the first time.

The 18-year-old also earned his maiden international cap with the French national team last year while making his debut in UEFA Nations League.

Camavinga was tipped to move to a top club last summer, but Rennes decided to keep him. However, he is likely to leave the French top-flight this summer, with Rennes looking to cash in on him since his contract expires next summer.

Besides Man Utd, PSG, Arsenal and Real Madrid are also said to be keeping tabs on the talented youngster.

Man Utd midfielder Paul Pogba had earlier described Camavinga as a little dancer and praised his potential.

The Old Trafford outfit is likely to face stiff competition for the French-man, who recently made it to the Olympic squad.

It remains to be seen whether Man Utd can afford Camavinga’s transfer after splashing out on Sancho.
