Manchester United are looking to sell several players this summer as they begin the new era under Erik ten Hag.

The Old Trafford club have already released a few players after the end of their contracts but are also prepared to sell even more of the first team names.

Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata have all left United after their respective contracts expired. But according to reports, now more could be following them out the exit door at Old Trafford.

According to Manchester Evening News’ Chief Manchester United writer Samuel Luckhurst via Sportsbible, the Red Devils are open to selling as many as eight first-team players this summer.

The eight players in question are: defenders Eric Bailly, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Alex Telles, Brandon Williams, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Andreas Pereira and striker Anthony Martial who was on loan to Sevilla in the second half of last season.

All the players listed for sale have been deemed as surplus to requirements by the new boss, Ten Hag, who is already looking to bring in players who can fit into his style of play.

The former Ajax boss is famed for his demanding passing style of play, and he has wasted no time in shifting out players to raise funds to bring in his signings.

He is reportedly aiming to bring in five new players this month.

Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia is already on his way to Old Trafford, while Christian Eriksen has also agreed to join the Manchester club

Meanwhile, Barcelona has reportedly agreed a fee for Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, while Ajax duo Lisandro Martinez and Antony are also firmly on United’s radar.

So far, Dean Henderson has already departed to Nottingham Forest on loan, so the Red Devils will probably bring in a backup goalkeeper to provide cover for David de Gea.
