Manchester United will have to pay £35 million for Andre Silva

Andre Silva-Eintracht Frankfurt

Manchester United have been linked with a host of new strikers this summer, and it seems that they are keen on the Eintracht Frankfurt forward Andre Silva.

The Portuguese international has been in red hot form but the German side this season, and he will cost around £35 million.

The Red Devils have looked at the Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland as well, but the Norwegian is likely to cost an absurd amount of money this summer.

Silva would be a cheaper alternative, and the Portuguese international is good enough to lead the line at Old Trafford next season.

The likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are at their best when they’re playing as wide forwards, and Solskjaer needs someone who can lead the line for his side next year.

Edinson Cavani is a quality option for the Red Devils, but the Uruguayan is 34, and United cannot rely on him to play every game.

Andre Silva would be the ideal signing as a cover for Cavani, and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League side can pull off his signing in the coming weeks.

A move to Manchester United would be the ideal next step in Silva’s career, and he’s likely to be tempted to join the Premier League side.

Silva has scored 26 goals in all competitions this season, and he is level on 25 goals for the season with Erling Haaland.
