Marcus Rashford not interested in Tottenham move

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has reportedly snubbed interest from Tottenham to stay at Old Trafford.

According to The Times, Antonio Conte’s side were hopeful of landing the England international in a bid to help him rediscover his best form.

But Manchester United have dismissed the prospect of Rashford joining the North London side. The Old Trafford side say the striker is ready to ‘reset and refresh under Erik Ten Hag’.

Rashford has fallen out of favour for club and country following a dreadful 2021/22 campaign where he managed just five goals in all competitions after the beginning of his season was disrupted by a severe shoulder injury.

However, it is understood 24-year-old, who has one year left on his Old Trafford contract, has decided to stay and try to impress new manager Erik ten Hag.

Elsewhere, reports from ESPN claim Man United will encounter firm competition from PSG if they are to snap up Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona this summer. 

The 24-year-old is a firm target for the Red Devils and Barcelona are thought to be open to selling in a bid to ease ongoing financial concerns.

The Catalan side are looking for around £70million for De Jong so they can pursue their own transfer targets. If the 41-cap international arrives at Old Trafford, it would see him reunited with his mentor and former Ajax manager, Ten Hag.
