Norwich City in talks with Frank Lampard regarding managerial vacancy

Frank Lampard-Chelsea

Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is in talks with Premier League side Norwich City about replacing Daniel Farke who was recently sacked by the Canaries.

The newly-promoted side picked up their first win of the Premier League season over Brentford but they decided to part ways with Daniel Farke because of the poor performances from the team this season.

According to Football Insider, discussions are underway for Lampard to take over and the 43-year-old is keen on becoming manager of Norwich City.

Lampard was relieved of his duties as the manager of Chelsea back in January and it will be interesting to see if he can guide Norwich to safety this season.

The Canaries are undoubtedly one of the favourites to go down after a disastrous start to the campaign and Lampard will have to turn things around quickly.

There is no doubt that Norwich have talented players like Todd Cantwell, Max Aarons and Teemu Pukki at their disposal and it remains to be seen whether Lampard can get the best out of his squad.

The former England midfielder did a good job to nurture the likes of Mason Mount, Reece James and other youngsters at Chelsea and he will be expected to have a similar impact on the likes of Cantwell and Aarons.

Furthermore, Chelsea played free-flowing attacking football under his management and the Norwich fans will be hoping for the same if he takes over at Carrow Road.

Lampard will have a point to prove when he takes over at Norwich and his hunger to succeed could be a bonus for the Premier League side.
