Solskjaer prioritises three more Man United signings after van de Beek transfer

Solskjaer hits out at Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho

Solskjaer wants further reinforcements at Old Trafford.

Manchester United reportedly have a deal in place for Donny Van de Beek, which will mark their first signing of the summer.

But that hasn’t stopped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer there as the Norwegian boss is looking for three more signings ahead of next season.

The Red Devils were under fire of late after failing to show ambition in the transfer market despite getting linked with a lot of high-profile names.

The Norwegian manager wants to add reinforcements to the right-wing position currently occupied by the rookie Mason Greenwood. Jadon Sancho looked like a potential signing, but the progress has deteriorated after Dortmund demanded hefty fees.

Another area Solskjaer wants to add solidity is the centre-back position. Gabriel Magalhaes and Dayot Upamecano are the potential targets, with the latter one surfacing on the transfer books lately. The RB Leipzig defender was impressive in both Bundesliga and Champions League last season.

Finally, Solskjaer wants to bring a back-up striker to Anthony Martial. Odion Ighalo has apparently disappeared since the restart, and Soslkjaer wants a more quality signing.

Nonetheless, United have been replete with a flock of fringe players including Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones, who are proving to be stumbling blocks.

The Red Devils need to get rid of them before going for any signings in the transfer window.
