Spurs ended their three-match losing streak with a comprehensive win over West Brom.

Tottenham returned to winning ways after defeating West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at home, with Harry Kane and Heung-min Son finding the scoresheet.

The North Londoners were under pressure before entering the game as they had suffered defeats in all of their three Premier League outings.

Harry Kane was desperately missed in the brief winless drought but he made his presence felt on his return today, breaking the deadlock early on in the second half. The English striker found the nets after being picked by Pierre Emile-Hojberg. With that strike, Kane also became the joint-second highest scorer in Spurs’ history alongside Bobby Smith, only behind legendary Jimmy Greaves.

Heung-min Son doubled the lead after being fed by Lucas Moura, who started a relentless counter-attack. The South Korean ace has so far racked up a total of 12 goals and 8 assists in the Premier League this season.

Spurs leapfrogged fellow Londoners Chelsea to the seventh position in the table whereas West Brom are still dwelling in the relegation zone.

Jose Mourinho, who would be relieved to see his side get a victory, at last, heaped praise on striker Kane and his utmost importance to the side.

The Portuguese gaffer said, “Kane is a special player, but today they showed everyone how together they are and how much they were suffering with the bad results.”
