The Welsh winger produced a spending display, scoring a brace against hapless Clarets.

Tottenham Hotspur produced a thumping 4-0 win against Burnley, with Gareth Bale stunning brace.

The on-loan Real Madrid winger has been in fine nick of late and today’s performance against Burnley further proved his world-class quality.

Bale, who was given his third start in the Premier League, opened the account in no less than two minutes after latching on to Son Heung-min’s delivery with Burnley’s delivery completely switched off.

The Welsh international provided the assist to Harry Kane‘s goal as Tottenham doubled the lead in the 15th minute.

Burnley found it hard to handle the thunderous Spurs’ attack as Lucas Moura added another goal before the half-time, with goalkeeper Nick Pope getting beaten for the third time.

Bale put the game to bed by scoring his second of the night in the 55th minute and thus Spurs, who haven’t been without a win in their last two Premier League games, ended their purple patch.

Jose Mourinho could be relieved to see such a scintillating display from his side and the Portuguese manager would be hoping to build on this win for the upcoming games.

Spurs had a great outing against Wolfsberger in the Europa League earlier this week, winning the round of 32 tie ( 8-1 on aggregate) without breaking a sweat.

The North Londoners, who are currently eighth in the table, will play Fulham away in their next league game.
