Tottenham agree £30m deal with Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma

Tottenham borrow £175m to ease coronavirus impact

Brighton & Hove Albion‘s midfielder still have 12 months to stay in the club, but he wants to play in the Champions League. Tottenham are qualified for UCL next season. Therefore, Yves Bissouma will be happy with the opportunity. 

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to a £30m deal for the 25-year-old. He was the third summer signing after Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic.  

The north London club also showed interest in signing him in January.

In July 2018, Yves Bissouma joined Brighton and has made 124 appearances. He scored his first-ever Premier League goal on the last day of the 2019–20 season with a long-range shot in a 2–1 away win against Burnley.

As stated on BBC, he started 26 Premier League games for the Seagulls last season, scoring once. The Ivorian midfielder played a significant role in Graham Potter’s side as they secured ninth place in the Premier League, making the history for the club as it finished upper-half in the table.

For the final requirement, He is expected to undergo medical at Tottenham later this week, and the personal terms are being discussed with the player.
