Tottenham Hotspur

After their FA Cup exertions over the weekend, Tottenham will turn their attention to the Premier League where they welcome Southampton to London.

The hosts comfortably defeated Brighton in the fourth round of the FA Cup thanks to a brace from Harry Kane and an own goal from Solomon March.

The win restored Antonio Conte’s side to winning ways after their 2-0 loss to Chelsea in their last PL outing.

Conte’s side currently sit in seventh place, two points behind Manchester United in fourth place who have played two games more. They remain on course for a top-four finish given that they have outstanding games.

With the addition of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus, Antonio Conte now has the tools to mount a more consistent push for the top four. He will be looking to maintain his unbeaten managerial record (W5, D1) against the ‘Saints’ and will fancy their chances of doing so in this game.

They have gone five home league games unbeaten (W4, D1) and will be confident of extending that sequence.

Possible Tottenham starting line-up

Hugo Lloris; Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez, Ben Davies; Emerson Royal , Harry Winks, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Sergio Reguilon; Lucas Moura, Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min.

Injured: Eric Dier, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga.

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Southampton

Southampton will travel to London on the back of a 2-1 win over Coventry City in the FA Cup.

Unlike Spurs whose FA Cup win was more straightforward, the visitors needed extra time to see off the Championship side. Coventry took the lead in the 22nd minute through Viktor Gyokeres, but Stuart Armstrong scored for the Saints in the 63rd minute to take the game to extra time.

With 112 minutes on the clock, right-back Kyle Walker-Peters stepped up to score and win the game for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.

Their last PL outing saw them hold Manchester City to a 1-1 draw. The results prove that on their day they’re a match for any side despite their mid-table position.

However, they have won just one of their last six PL away matches (D1, L4), conceding 2+ goals in each of those fixtures.

Possible Southampton starting line-up

Fraser Forster; Mohammed Salisu, Jan Bednarek, Jack Stephens; Valentino Livramento, Oriol Romeu, James Ward-Prowse, Kyle Walker-Peters; Nathan Redmond, Che Adams, Adam Armstrong.

Injured: Lyanco, Nathan Tella, Alex McCarthy

Doubtful: Will Smallbone

Suspended: None
