Leicester agree on a fee for Vestergaard

Leicester City are thought to be closing in on the Southampton defender Jannik Vestergaard.

According to the latest reports, the Premier League side have agreed to a £15 million fee for the Danish centre back.

Brendan Rodgers needed to find a quality long term replacement for Wes Morgan, and the injury to Wesley Fofana has also forced his hand.

Vestergaard has proven himself in the Premier League with Southampton, and he should prove to be a quality addition for the Foxes.

Spurs and Villa want Ward-Prowse

Meanwhile, in other news, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are keen on signing the Southampton midfielder James Ward Prowse this summer.

The 26-year-old midfielder has done well in the Premier League with the Saints over the last few seasons, and he could prove to be a quality addition.

Villa and Tottenham both need some creativity in the middle of the park, and the Southampton star could add that.

Ward Prowse is an excellent passer from the deep, and his creativity will help improve both teams in the final third. Furthermore, he is exceptional with set pieces, and his arrival will add a new dimension to their attack.

Manchester United end Trippier interest

Finally, Manchester United have ended their interest in Kieran Trippier.

The Atletico Madrid defender is thought to be keen on a return to the Premier League this summer, and the Red Devils were hoping to sign him.

However, the two clubs are far apart in terms of valuation.

Apparently, Manchester United submitted an offer of around £10 million for the England international, but the Spanish champions we’re looking for a fee closer to £35 million.
