Raiola eyeing bumper financial package for Erling Haaland if he moves this summer

Erling Haaland-Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been linked with a move away from the German club at the end of this season and there have been reports in recent weeks that claim the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City are keeping tabs on the player.

The Norwegian striker’s agent is seeking a bumper new contract for his client and it will be interesting to see where the player ends up.

Raiola is hoping to make Haaland the first player to earn £1 million per week.

It will be interesting to see which club manages to afford that kind of wages for the Dortmund striker regardless of his talent and potential.

The likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain certainly have financial resources pull off a massive transfer but it seems unlikely in the current conditions amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

Haaland has already established himself as a world-class striker at the age of 20 and he is only likely to get better with experience and coaching.

Whoever ends up signing the Norwegian striker will have a world-class player on their hands for the next decade.

Borussia Dortmund have been very clear with their stance regarding the striker and they are not prepared to sell Haaland this summer.

It will be interesting to see if the Norwegian’s suitors can prise him away from the German club at the end of this year.

Next year, the player will be able to leave for a reasonable fee of around £68m because of his clause in his contract but Haaland could cost more than double of that if a club tries to sign him this summer.
