Ibrahimovic feels he is better than Messi and Ronaldo, aims a cheeky dig at Ballon d’Or

AC Milan 2 - 0 Bologna Zlatan Ibrahimovic dazzles with a double

The AC Milan star says he is more skilful than both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic feels he is the best player in the world and no less than modern-day legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi when it comes to skills.

However, he still admitted that he hasn’t won a single Champions League title in his career.

Ibrahimovic said: “If you’re talking about intrinsic qualities, I have nothing less than them ( Messi and Ronaldo).

“If you look at the trophies, [then] yes, I didn’t win the Champions League.

“But I don’t know how you calculate it. I’m not obsessed with it. Because when you do good things collectively, the individual follows. The individual cannot be good if the collective is not good.”

Despite being one of the best players of his generation, Ibrahimovic has also never won a single Ballon d’Or award. However, he appears to be not worried about the fact as he added that the prestigious award only misses him.

The Swede added: “[Do] I miss the Ballon d’Or? No, it’s Ballon d’Or who misses me! Deep down, I think I’m the best in the world. I don’t think it’s relevant to compare players with each other.

“Everyone has played in their generation, with different teammates … [it’s] difficult to compare. I think everyone has their story and should face it.”

The Rossoneri star’s comments don’t come as a surprise as we have heard him bragging about his qualities in the past.

Ibrhamivoic’s form at AC Milan, even in the later years of his career, is highly impressive. He moved to San Siro at the start of the last year, and his arrival has coincided with Milan’s revival.

Stefano Pioli’s side qualified for the Champions League after finishing as runners-up in Serie A last season. The 39-year-old played a big part in it after racking up 15 goals in 19 league appearances.
