The Nerazzurri sealed a thrilling comeback win against Verona, and Correa scored a stunning brace as a substitute.

Inter Milan secured a thrilling 3-1 win against Hellas Verona to make it two consecutive victories in Serie A this season.

Verona made life difficult for Inter after taking the lead in the 15th minute through Ilic.

Inter responded straight away after the break, with Lautaro Martinez scoring the equaliser.

As the game entered the final 10 minutes, many would have predicted the spoils would be shared between the teams. However, Joaquin Correa had other ideas.

Coming in as a substitute for his fellow countrymen Martinez in the final quarter, Correa did an incredible thing in his first-ever appearance for Inter.

Firstly, the former Lazio attacker directed a powerful header from Darmian’s cross before finishing off the game with a beautiful left-footed strike from a Nico Barella’s cross.

Correa would be delighted with his display today, with a double in his debut for Inter. The goals secured an away win for defending champions.

The Nerazzurri managed to sign the 26-year-old from Lazio days ago on a deal worth €30m.

Manager Simone Inzaghi played a vital role in the transfer as he knew about the Argentine’s abilities during his previous stint at Biancocelesti.

Inzaghi offered his thoughts on Correa’s display: “Everyone was good, then it was clear that for Tucu, a debut with two goals in 10 minutes, it was a magnificent evening, for him and for all the fans who cheered us on for all 90 minutes, and it is right to dedicate the victory to them.”

Inter are off to a dream start to Serie A this season, picking up 6 points in 2 games.
