Juventus fail in the initial meeting with Sassuolo over Locatelli signing

Juventus have reportedly failed to reach an agreement with Sassuolo in their initial rendezvous over the signing of Manuel Locatelli.

The Italian midfielder continues to be a top target for the Old Lady after excelling in Serie A over the last few seasons and the European Championship.

However, according to new reports, Juve could talks with Sassuolo next week after failing to reach an agreement in their first meeting.

Locatelli has become one of the sought-after midfielders in Europe in the current transfer window, with Premier League outfit Arsenal expressing their interest. However, the former AC Milan star’s preferred destination is understood to be Allianz Stadium.

Locatelli still have 2 years contract with Sassuolo. Sassuolo are demanding around €40m for Locatelli, and the Bianconeri consider the valuation as slightly higher.

Paulo Dybala contract talks postponed to the end of the month

Paulo Dybala’s future had been up in the air before Juve vice president Pavel Nedved stated that the club would soon meet the Argentine’s agents to discuss the contract extension.

The 27-year-old was seen as a crown jewel for Juve before he fell out of favour under Andrea Pirlo last season.

However, the return of Max Allegri as the new manager has increased the chances of Dybala’s survival in Turin.

According to new reports, the contract talks with Dybala have been pushed to the end of this month.

The Argentine star shone in the friendly win against Atalanta on Saturday after scoring a goal.
