Lazio will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they host Genoa this Friday.
Maurizio Sarri‘s side lost their sixth league game of the season (W7, D4) last time out as they were beaten 2-1 by Sassuolo. Mattia Zaccagni opened the scoring for Lazio in the sixth minute, but goals from Domenico Berardi and Raspadori turned the game around for Sassuolo.
The result pushed Lazio down to ninth, eleven points behind the top four and three points behind AS Roma who are occupying the last European spot on the table.
That loss was also Lazio’s have third defeat in their last five Serie A games and has consequently endangered their chances of a third straight top-six finish.

Genoa and Andriy Shevchenko finally picked up a competitive win on Tuesday as they beat lowly Salernitana 1-0 in the Coppa Italia. The game was the first time Geno had scored under their new boss and ended a run of 14 games without a win in all competitions.
But the Ukrainian boss remains winless after five league games in charge of Genoa (D1, L4).
His side come into this tie sitting in 18th, two points below Spezia who occupy the 17th spot.
The ‘Rossoblù’ are still searching for their first league victory since September, and have won just once on the road this term (D4, L4).
