The club’s chief executive officer Ferran Soriano is confident that Guardiola would land his next job in Italian Serie APep Guardiola‘s contract expires after next season.

According to Goal, The CEO spoke about City Group’s majority stakeholder purchase in Serie B side Palermo on Monday at a press conference. Palermo could be Guardiola’s club to handle if the agreement prohibits it.

“He asked if it’s sunny in Palermo. Perhaps, he will work here one day,” Soriano said.

“He knows everything we do and he knows Italian football well. Like the others, he is excited about the deal.”

Guardiola had the best time managing Barcelona in La Liga before moving to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

Since he moved to Manchester City in 2016, Guardiola has become City’s most successful manager in the club’s history: winning 10 major English league and cup titles to date, and maintaining over 70% win, at least 10% higher than any proceeding manager.

Meanwhile, City promise a brighter future for Palermo.

“The important thing is that it will always be full. The most important part of the job is to convince Palermo fans to come to the stadium. We need their passion to make the club grow. That’s our main target.” Soriano added.
