Milan 2-0 Crotone Diaz, Kessie among the scoresheet as Milan continue winning run

Rossoneri have won their away game against Crotone.

AC Milan have picked up a comprehensive 2-0 win against Crotone.

Franck Kessie broke the deadlock in the added time of first half from the penalty spot.

Brahim Diaz followed up with another goal inside the opening minutes of the second half, set up by Sandro Tonali.

Diaz had a good outing after making his debut against last week.

Besides Tonali, Hakan Calhanoglu was once again impressive for Milan as he carried his excellent form.

Milan manager Stefano Pioli, who is now victorious in all of the last 14 games, was able to win the game even without their hero against Bologna, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ante Rebic was forced off the field in the second half after picking an arm injury, which seems to be a worrying one.

Matteo Gabbia has started in the defence for the second straight game and the young centre-back has now won back-to-back clean sheets.

The match looked quite a drab especially in the second half but anyhow Milan have managed to secure three points.

Pioli has offered his thoughts on the win. “It was a difficult match. We are playing often and therefore it is unthinkable to always keep the pace high,” he said.

“We managed the game well, we could have managed the ball better but we approached the game well. We think about the next match and we must try to grow and improve.

“We are going through a delicate moment with injuries and more and therefore we have to grit our teeth. It is a delicate week and this is an important and just victory.”
