Theo Hernandez on the Double as Milan Snatch a Late Equaliser Against Parma to Remain Unbeaten

AC Milan fought back on Sunday to extend their unbeaten run in the league to 24, thanks to two second-half goals by Theo Hernandez.

The hosts could have lost for the first time this season after Hernani and Jasman Kurtic had put the visitors two goals ahead by the 56th minute, but they were able to snatch a late equaliser in stoppage time to keep their unbeaten start to the league intact and maintain their position at the top of the table.

The visitors who had entered the game four points off the relegation zone were ahead in the 13th minute thanks to a Hernani Azevedo right-foot finish from a brilliant Gervinho cut-back.

The hosts then had a goal ruled out in the 24th minute after VAR had spotted Castillejo in an offside position when the ball was passed to him.

Milan continued to probe but were out of luck with Calhanoglu hitting the post twice in the space of five minutes in the first half. The woodwork denied him total three times in the match.

Parma were two goals ahead by the 56th minute through Jasman Kurtic who got in between the Milan defence to head home his side’s second goal from a Hernani cross.

Milan responded almost immediately through Theo Hernandez, who climbed highest to head past Sepe from a Calhanoglu’s corner. The Frenchman then bailed his side in the dying moments when he sent a low drive into the bottom right corner, to level things up in the first minute of added time.

The result was the least Milan deserved after an impressive showing that saw them hit the post times with six shots on target.

The Rossoneri remain top of the table with 27 points from 11 games, while Parma are 15th with 11 points.

The hosts face next in the league while Parma are up against Cagliari next.
